Recommended After Effects book

Read through most of the Meyers’ latest After Effects book this weekend. I’ll be using it for my intro to video post class at BU this fall. After Effects Apprentice is a great step by step guide to learning After Effects and motion graphics theory. It’s clear to the reader that the authors truly love their work and enjoy using After Effects.

It’s a good book for editors who have been meaning to learn After Effects but have never gotten around to it. From the first lesson, you’ll be able to use what you’ve learned professionally.

Those of us who have been using After Effects for a long time, but haven’t kept up with the scores of new features over the past few versions will also appreciate the book.

While it’s geared towards the After Effects 7 user, it covers a lot of the new CS3 features so the book has an excellent shelf life.
