Monet on the Assabet – Random 365 #21

After two days of somber cemetery images for Random 365, it was time for something a little more cheerful.

A fall snow in 2003 gave me this image. Unlike the disaster wrought by this year’s freak October snow, this storm was merely a novelty. Though the composition is relatively uninteresting, the impressionistic look given by the fast falling snow and the slow shutter speed against the fall foliage makes this shot just above average enough that Microsoft might one day include it as a desktop background for Windows.
